Why Would you Choose Domestic Reverse Osmosis?
There is a growing concern among people that the contaminants and chemicals found in our drinking water may be impacting our long-term health. Our bodies are great at filtering food and water to access the nutritional content. However, the human body was never designed to filter out inorganic chemicals, contaminants and other chemicals and elements that we are being exposed to in our daily life. Studies have shown that our bodies will store all of this in fatty tissue and around our organs, increasing our risk to diseases. This is why so many people are taking control of their health by reducing their chemical exposure with healthy choices.
The Crystal Water Domestic Reverse Osmosis (RO) System is an easy, great tasting and cost-effective way to improve your health. What you get is clean, pure and chemical free water, the way it should be.
Crystal Water supplies state of the art water purification systems for domestic use in water and food. The company has three styles of domestic reverse osmosis systems available:
3 - Stage Reverse Osmosis
- 5 micron Sediment Filter
- 1 micron Carbon Block Filter
- 0.0005 micron 189LPD Reverse Osmosis Membrane
4 - Stage Reverse Osmosis
- 5 micron Sediment Filter
- 1 micron Carbon Block Filter
- 0.0005 micron 189LPD Reverse Osmosis Membrane
15Lt Reverse Osmosis Storage Tank - Polishing Filter
5 - Stage Reverse Osmosis
- 5 micron Sediment Filter
- 1 micron Carbon Block Filter
- 0.0005 micron 189LPD Reverse Osmosis Membrane
- Post-Membrane Alkaline Filter
15Lt Reverse Osmosis Storage Tank - Polishing Filter
3 - Stage Reverse Osmosis System Information
Crystal Water’s wall mounted domestic reverse osmosis (RO) is ideal for someone who cannot have an RO plumbed in or needs it to be portable. This is easily installed in the laundry where it can be connected to the cold water washing machine tap via a supplied adaptor. This will not interfere with the washing machine operation. The unit is operated manually when pure water is needed. Approximately one cup of RO water is produced per minute and is usually collected in a container, making the water easily accessible. The same high-quality materials used in the construction of the four stage RO system are used for the three stage RO system.
4 - Stage Reverse Osmosis System Information
The durable, hygienic and BPA-free polypropylene housings on our units are engineered by Pentek, based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, U.S.A.
The first stage filter is a 1-micron poly spun cartridge engineered in U.S.A. designed to remove sand and sediments.
The second stage is a .5 micron activated, compressed, coconut carbon block engineered in the U.S.A. This cartridge removes all traces of chlorine from the water, which will damage the membranes if not removed.
The third stage domestic reverse osmosis membranes are engineered by FILMTEC in U.S.A. These long-life membranes are the heart of our systems, outperforming cheap Chinese made filters and last 2-3 times longer. The filters for domestic use are rated for 189 litres per day at 50 psi and 25 degrees water temperature. The membranes Crystal Water use have a very high capacity to resist the passage of chemicals, bacteria, pathogens, viruses, pharmaceuticals, heavy metals, calcium and fluoride.
The fourth stage is a fine coconut carbon polishing filter. This refreshes the water that leaves the storage tank before getting to the faucet.
The domestic reverse osmosis storage tank has a 15-litre storage and is made of 304 stainless steel. This ensures the water remains pure and the tanks will remain serviceable for the life of the unit.
5 - Stage Reverse Osmosis System Information
Using the same stage as the 4 – Stage Reverse Osmosis System, We add an Alkalising Cartridge before the Purified water goes to the Storage Tank. This adds the necessary Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium and other trace Minerals for Healthy Drinking Water.
NSF Standards for Domestic Reverse Osmosis Systems
Three standards set by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), the world’s leading certification authority for food and food related products. These are important when choosing any filtration and purification product (e.g. filter cartridges):
NSF Standard 42:
Drinking water treatment unit is constructed from materials that do not contain any contaminating chemicals and are effective conventional particle filtration systems.
NSF Standard 53:
Drinking water treatment unit is an effective particle filtration system that will remove contaminants in the order of 1 micron or larger – this includes the removal of protozoan cysts (Giardia and Cryptosporidium) from the water supply.
NSF Standard 58:
Drinking water treatment unit operates as a reverse osmosis system capable of removing contaminants in the order of .0005 micron or larger – this includes the removal of metal ions, aqueous salts and other contaminants at the molecular level.
Crystal Water’s reverse osmosis systems, all comply to the highest standard. This is important as many low-pressure RO units in the marketplace use ‘micro’ and ‘ultra’ filtration membranes not domestic reverse osmosis membranes.
