Our body is 70% water – our brain is about 90% water! No wonder one of the major sources of headaches and disease is dehydration. Many pain symptoms like headaches, joint issues, fatigue and similar can simply be a result of dehydration and therefore can often be healed by drinking good water. Water is a buffer – like a cushion for the spine, the brain and our blood cells. Pain can simply be a sign of dehydration.

Over the course of a day, aim to drink a minimum of 1 liter of water per 22kg body weight. So if your 60kg, you need about 3 liters, 80 about 4 liters and so on. If you’re exercising or sweating due to heat then you’ll need even more.

So, if we’re going to drink that much water, it’s important we have access to good quality water. It’s so important to remove any toxins – such as fluoride, chlorine and any other heavy metals from the water we drink. Chlorine is put into our water to kill any bad bacteria – which is obviously necessary – but it’s important we then remove it before drinking it because we don’t want chlorine to kill our good gut bacteria! Chlorine has been attributed to eczema, asthma, acne, psoriasis – especially in children who can be really sensitive to these things. When we have a hot shower the chlorine off-gases so we’re essentially breathing in all that gas. Austrian researchers proved in the 70’s that as little as 1 part per million of fluoride can disrupt DNA repair enzymes by 50%. When DNA can’t repair damaged cells we get old fast.
